About

Kia Ora, I'm Doctor Padmaja Redekar.

A proud Kiwi mumpreneur, certified trichologist, and founder of Hairmantra Hair & Scalp Clinic.

My Journey

Every hair issue is a health issue.

At Hairmantra Hair & Scalp Clinic, I believe hair is one of the parts of the body most often ignored — yet just like any other health issue, it can be diagnosed and treated. In my experience, hair shedding is a sign of what's happening inside the body, and hair itself acts as a barometer for our overall health.

I am a Certified Trichologist and member of the International Association of Trichologists (IAT), Australia. I worked as a hair and scalp specialist at a well-known trichology clinic in India, and bring close to a decade of experience to every consultation.

“It took me a while to feel confident and gain control over my own hair. That's when I decided to share my experience and knowledge with everyone, and help them towards a healthy hair journey.”

The idea for Hairmantra sparked when I became a mum and went through postpartum hair fall — a genuinely traumatic experience. On one hand, I had a wonderful new creation, my son Rayansh. On the other, the daily drama of watching my own hair shed. Despite being an expert, it took real time and effort to feel in control again.

There is a vast amount of information out there on hair and scalp disorders — often confusing, sometimes conflicting. I'm here to guide you with an honest, evidence-based opinion, so you can understand your specific issue and take the right first step toward healthier hair. Every person is different, and so is every treatment plan.
